BIOGRAPHY |
Dolly wasn't class of 69, but she also had a first, I was going to say first female to race in front of 90,000 fans, but I forgot about Diane Crumps derby ride. So let just say first female, in her first race, to ride before largest crowd, that's a lot of firsts. You know they weren't there for her, that just happened to be Secretariat's Belmont day. Not much else to say about Dolly, in a career that lasted only two years.
Can't find when she won her first race but I know one of her eighteen wins, was aboard one my favorite New England horses, Kiss and Run. Dolly, was also a participant in the Boots and Bows series, looks like nobody could escape the gimmicks.
