Grants Pass!
Grants Pass it may be rated 1 for purse value but it's still
operational. Running a couple of weeks at the Josephine County
Fairgrounds the racings appears to be focused more on thoroughbreds than
quarter horses.
Grants Pass was back in 2011 offering eight race days over four weekends. Despite efforts to improve the racing surface two horses had to be euthanized on opening day.
No one was sure, but racing returned in 2013 under new ownership. To all reports the meet was the most successful in years, hoping for more of the same in 2014.
