Elko County Fair !
The Elko County Fair
has been providing quarter horse, and thoroughbred racing since 1920.
The longest meet in Nevada it usually runs for six days and ends on
Labor Day.
The signature race for the meet is the Intermountain Futurity, for two year old quarter horses, run on the Labor Day card, also part of the Labor Day races is The Nevada Blackjack Challenge. The challenge pits local stables against each other for bragging rights for the coming year. For more information on Elko check the Racing With TRS site.
