Sandy Downs Home of Idabet!
In the past Sandy Downs seemed more like the place to go for
cutter races, chariot and chuck wagon too. Today it is the second
largest racetrack in Idaho with twelve days of racing spanning about a
month. It is also the home of Idabet an on-line wagering service. The
track also hosts the Hawthorne Futurity which is the final leg of the
Dutch Masters III triple crown.
In 2011 Sandy Downs conducted twelve days of racing. The top jockey was Paul Green. Racing is set to resume for 2012.
In 2014 Sandy Downs again has the most dates in Idaho for a non commercial track, racing seven days in August and September.
